Invitiation to the meeting on the Christians of Jewish origin in Mszana Dolna

Our educational project shows the coexistence of two faiths and cultures, the Christians and the Jews, in the prewar Mszana Dolna. The two groups lived side by side, fusing with and inspiring each other, creating a community and one history. However, there were also individuals and families whose identity was dual: Jews by birth and baptised Catholics at the same time. Still, in the eyes of the Nazis these people remained Jewish and shared the Jewish fate, with the single exception of a person saved by fatherly bravery and love. This will be one of the stories to be shared this Friday, 23 June at 5 p.m. at the Municipal Library in Mszana Dolna. Feel invited to join us during the event which will be the 3rd one in this year’s edition of the project “The Tale of Two Cultures: The Pre-War Mszana Dolna.” There’ll be challah, Shabbat candles, and truly intriguing stories!

The event is endorsed with the Honorary Patronage of the Mayor of Mszana Dolna, Anna Pękała. Live broadcast available on the FB page of Sztetl Mszana Dolna.
