Urszula Antosz-Rekucka awarded in the Polin 2021 Award competition

The founder and president of our Foundation, Urszula Antosz-Rekucka, received an honourable mention award in the prestigious, nationwide Polin 2021 Award competition. The POLIN Award, established by the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, is given to people actively working to protect the memory of the history of Polish Jews. This year’s edition was the seventh. Out of 102 applications from all over Poland, the competition jury selected 6 finalists, among which our leader was for the second time. The winner of the Main Prize was Dariusz Popiela, and Urszula Antosz-Rekucka received an honourable mention award. The verdict of the jury of the POLIN 2021 Award was announced during the ceremony at the Polin museum in Warsaw and in the museum's social media, on November 30, 2021. The founder of the award for Urszula Antosz-Rekucka, Mrs. Ewa Masny-Askanaz said, that Urszula, following the principle of Władysław Bartoszewski "It's Worth Being Decent" and Marian Turski's 11th commandment, "Don't be indifferent", prepares the local community to feel empathy and to feel the human community.
