The 8th National Conference of Leaders of Dialogue

After two years of break caused by the coronavirus pandemic, on 10-12.06.2022 in Wiązowna near Warsaw a meeting of people involved in preserving Jewish heritage of Poland, documenting and educating about Jewish history of cities and towns took place: The 8th National Conference of Dialogue Leaders, to which we are honored to belong.  Almost three days were filled with making new contacts, sharing experiences and learning from the invited experts. The conference began with a speech by special guest Marian Turski, a Holocaust survivor, historian and journalist, who thanked the participants for their work in restoring Jewish memory. The Conference included many interesting workshops and meetings, and ended with a sightseeing tour of Otwock along the trail of its Jewish inhabitants, including a meeting with the President of the Polish Council of Christians and Jews, Zbigniew Nosowski. We were represented at the conference by our vice-president, Marek Rekucki. The Forum for Dialogue is the oldest Polish NGO dedicated to dialogue and to preserving the memory of Jewish inhabitants of Poland.
