Literary workshop with Patrycja Dołowy

On 26.07.2023, in the hospitable premises of the Mszana Dolna Town Hall, a writing workshop with Patrycja Dołowy was held. Patrycja Dołowy, who has a PhD in natural sciences, is a writer, multimedia artist, playwright, photographer, and current director of the JCC Warsaw. We already know her from her last year author's meeting. In the first part, the guest speaker gave a lecture on the art of storytelling and collecting stories, and introduced the participants to some of her projects. Afterwards, residents of Mszana and guests (the mix of generations, professions and ages was impressive - from the youngest enthusiasts of history and literature to those involved in the art for many years, teachers and young scientists) created their own stories. Working in groups, using hot-created collages, they finished with a presentation of each group's story. The meeting was chaired by Rachela Antosz-Rekucka from Sztetl Mszana Dolna, and received honorary patronage from the Mayor, Anna Pękała, for whom we are very grateful. At the end, it was possible to buy the author's books, with her dedication, and to talk to her in person.

This was the next meeting in the 2nd edition of the educational project "The Story of the Bicultural, Pre-War Mszana Dolna". The project is being carried out with the financial support of the Malopolska Region. There was an online broadcast on our FB profile, thanks to which many people from outside Mszana were able to participate in the event; several other profiles retransmitted the meeting. In a few days the recording will be available on the  YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@sztetlmszanadolna, which will be taken care of by our invaluable Dariusz Ptak 🙂 .

And we would like to invite you for our next event. As soon as on 4.08.2023, also in the Town Hall,  a young psychologist, doctoral student of the Doctoral School in the Social Sciences at the Jagiellonian University, Rachela Antosz-Rekucka, will talk about the interesting phenomenon that is the Jerusalem Syndrome. We cordially invite you to the meeting room of the Town Hall, 2 Piłsudskiego Street, at 5 p.m.
