"Hannah" project at the Galicia Jewish Museum in Krakow

We were honored to be invited as panelists, at the Galicia Jewish Museum's project in Krakow, "Hannah," which included a seminar for teachers from all over Poland. To those already involved or wishing to become involved in working with young people on the topics of preserving memory, dialogue, teaching about the Holocaust, fighting anti-Semitism and all prejudice, we told about our experiences: the glories and shadows, failures and successes in our work. We gave a presentation with documentation of more than 20 years of our activities, trying to inspire and give courage to take our own initiatives. During the discussion, we responded to the voices that emerged about what a difficult kind of commitment it is, and said that this is just the narrowest proof of how this work is needed. We encouraged people to get involved in national and international projects: "Faces of Dialogue," "Krokus," "To Preserve Memory. History and culture of two nations," but also to take our own actions, even completely small on the surface. All of them make the world around us at least a little better. We would like to thank the participants for their warm welcome, and the Education Department of the Jewish Museum "Galicia" for the invitation and trust.
