The official commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Holocaust in Mszana Dolna will take place on 20-21.08.2023, to respect the Sabbath rest, but the calendar 81st Anniversary of the horrible crime against a thousand Jewish citizens from Mszana Dolna and other places, fell on 19.08.2023. After sunset, we lit candles, laid pebbles, recited Psalms 16 and 23. Rest in peace, we will remember you in the coming days, and the day after tomorrow you will regain your names, you will cease to be a nameless mass of the slain. The monument is ready, waiting to be unveiled and commemorate your tragedy. May the memory of you be blessed! May your souls be tied in a knot of eternal life! We also lit candles and said prayers at the grave on Ogrodowa Street and at the Jewish cemetery - Shoah Victims are also buried there, although murdered on different days. Perhaps it is also worth mentioning that, according to the Jewish calendar, the anniversary falls on the 6th of elul - be this year it would on 23.08.2023.Then we will also light candles and say prayers in place of the relatives of the Victims, who either cannot come this year, or will have already left after the official ceremonies
