December trainings and meetings on the Zoom platform
In December, we are involved in many activities that are not entirely related to preserving the memory of our Jewish community, although we are also training to improve our skills and build a team to face the increasingly serious challenges ahead of us.
Our gentlemen, together with representatives of several other local organisations, took part in the training by Cumulus Association of Social and Educational Initiatives this week.
Recently, we also had the pleasure of meeting with members of the Second Generation Association on Zoom, first to tell them about our work, and then to share Jakub's theoretical and practical work (because he also sang) on the works of Cohen and Dylan. The meeting was part of the ‘Masters of Our Youth’ series. It is an honour and a moving experience to be able to spend such quality time with people who have experienced the tragedy of the Holocaust in their own families, and not, like us, only in the context of our work. Suffice it to say that the meetings were attended by such people as Krystyna Budnicka, ‘Inka’ Soblewska-Pyz, and Mira Żeliechower-Aleksiun. And we heard so many moving, kind words.
We would like to thank Ms Ania Cukierman-Podgórska for organising and inviting us. Perhaps she will repay us with her involvement in our projects in Mszana Dolna. We really hope so!
